dead I am not… for those of you who wondered if I’ve fallen off the face of the earth–should you happen to believe that the world is flat,–[spell check just offered ‘falling apart’ which is more accurate than flat]. As last I wrote, I continue to live, in Holland [the government is trying oh so hard to get everyone on the same page to say the Netherlands not Holland – good luck with that] and life continues to be so far so good. Since last I wrote, [I stopped writing because the over arching part of my life became too complicated to pretend the allure of the country was sufficiently captivating to drown out the over arch screeching] I have, through ‘hoop jumping, test taking and a terrific coincidence become a duel national. The advantage is that I can continue to stay here without having to conduct business and am afforded all the other rights of being a Dutch citizen.

New Address
One surprise of the past months, was the need to find another place to call home. Without preamble, the landlord from whom I was renting, informed me she wanted her house off the rental market and within a short time frame. Her decision, without warning in an extremely tight rental market in a small city was a shock. It was six weeks of extreme stress to find a new home. This new home is right next door to the old address. It would appear that I just “stepped’ next door, but in fact it was a huge circle to come back to the place where I started.
Where I am now – Dutch door and all

Where I was – right next door.

A New Set of Acquaintances
A guest – in dog form- is visiting. This entails walking the guest at least 3 times a day. A whole new set of friends await; people you otherwise never see, and the scenery is really lovely be it 6:00 am or 10:30 pm. Not my usual fare.
