Yes, it is a Dutch cheese cutter; it slides over the flat edge of the cheese and ejects perfect slices. But in a NY apartment it is the ultimate tool. It’s end is slim enough to function as a screwdriver. It works perfectly as a spatula as it has some give in the flat area and can bend to the pan. It can ladle as well as a flat wooden spoon, and it can be used as a trowel to dig in potted plants. Of course it can peel carrots, asparagus and any other vegetable that needs it. It can cut butter like a knife. It can scrape the sticky price tag off a bottle of wine and scoop up goop from the floor. Any other suggestions?
How about buying a small toolbox?
I have the tool box, Dave, I guess I’m going to have to buy this Dutch cheese cutter. It looks pretty handy!
