“My Dearest _________, The desire of your heart has been a line from me while at your work.  And though I should cover this sheet of paper with loving words, I could never tell you how I long to see you from one time to the other while we are absent and yet not absent, for I leave my heart in your gentle keeping. I love you so much that I cannot find words in which to express my feelings  I have loved you from the very first day we met and always shall.   [] Do you blame me because I have shown my love to you in ways that I have?  I feel unworthy of you, but oh if you say in return that you love me, then we have the right to be the happiest couple cupid ever united.  Dear it was not my intention of writing you this evening but oh hours seem as days and days as weeks when we are apart.  And Dear in parting last night you said something about calling you this evening but I learned that it was Harry’s night home that I thought this might be more enjoyed, but I know you were disappointed.  forgive me if I caused any unpleasant moments to you. []   And dear I hope you did not call and find me out as I was over to David’s house and did not get home ’till about ten o’clock.  I am telling you dear the time because I hope you are having nice dreams of me by this time. []  I wrote to Tom this evening and gave him all the news and also told him not to hurry about coming home. [] Now Dear though this is only a note I hope it will bring joy to your heart as it gives me in writing.  There are other things I could tell you but time will not permit me this time to do so.  [] Ever Your Own, __________
