The moment I spotted this strange peeler I knew it was for peeling white asparagus. Don’t know who figure out how to tackle the task, but this works perfectly and not really certain why.. Can you imagine the fat stalk of white asparagus between the two parts?

A Wasp Sting
A passenger on a sailing vessel, out on the small sea, was stung by a wasp. Highly allergic he was airlifted from the boat to the ‘wall’. Dead on Arrival. This was the view from my ‘new window”. The Yellow bird’ is a rescue helicopter.
New Address
One surprise of the past months, was the need to find another place to call home. Without preamble, the landlord from whom I was renting, informed me she wanted her house off the rental market and within a short time frame. Her decision, without warning in an extremely tight rental market in a small city …
Surprise
This pretty much describes what happened between the last post of 29 March and today 1 November. But it’s all good. Still living happily in the City by the water. Happy with friends far and wide, neighbors and family. Will keep you informed as before on life in The Netherlands.

A New Set of Acquaintances
A guest – in dog form- is visiting. This entails walking the guest at least 3 times a day. A whole new set of friends await; people you otherwise never see, and the scenery is really lovely be it 6:00 am or 10:30 pm. Not my usual fare.
Flying High

A FIRST. Voted in an election in a country other than the USofA. Was well informed and the process was simple.
