Costa Brava

Following a few days in Barcelona, we drove up the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to a small village. The sights seen by touring were breathtaking. Personally it was a treat to travel by car, and a fine one at that! Among the sights, the vineyards. Banyuls is the grape for wine that grows and is bottled here. [Banyuls is a ffortified apéritif or dessert wine made from old vines cultivated in terraces on the slopes of the Catalan  Pyrenees in the Roussillon county of France, bordering, to the south, the Empordà wine region in Catalonia in Spain.- thank you Wikipedia] The dishes offered in cafes and establishments are an orgasm for the taste buds. Sorry, no other way to relate how exquisite the food is. The simplicity of preparation is one of the aspects; freshness the other.

The Rain in Spain…

did not fall. It was a wonderful visit. Began with Barcelona which is an intriguing city in composition, history and most certainly visuals. Gaudi, an architect, artist [wonder if he was part mad] had an enormous influence on the facade of this wonderful place. His work is not yet finished. His last hurrah is the Sagrada Familia a center point in the city has to be seen to be believed. No amount of photography can tell it’s wonder.

This one point is but one tenth of the cathedral. Enlarge and try to follow/grasp the gospel story.
