How Tired?

This evening with the help of my two favorite Depositors, we moved all the goods-for-sale for the Saturday communal yard sale to town to store in the shed of the person hosting the sale.  Getting it all sorted and prepped has been an effort and a chore.  How much stuff?   The bed of his extended pickup truck plus my car was packed to the ‘nth degree.  After all was said and done, I returned home, looking forward to a glass of white wine to ship on the porch.  The choice of which one to drink?  the one with the screw on lid, because pulling the cork of the others was too daunting.  That’s how tired.

A Rat’s…

Although I am usually untouched by matters of the British House of Royalty, it was a most lovely diversion from daily barrage of #45. Reading about love and toasts and dresses was a lovely, lovely change.  What else can we conjure up to compete with the daily news?

Working Volunteer

Today’s Lesson:  if pulled over by a cop for not having the seat belt fastened, tell him you just had breast surgery.  Either larger or smaller depending on you.  If he falters, ask him if you have to show him to prove it.  And you thought this was all work no play!

Not the Easter Bunny

Found the hip-hopping bunny such a sweet sight out the kitchen window.  And then there were two.  This was about 10 days ago.  Yesterday, between rain showers, took a walk around the garden to check on the bulbs I had planted and to mark their progress.

Nubs!

Where there should have been Allium coming along nicely, there, chewed to the ground. nubs, like a bad case of fingernail biting down to the quick.  The rabbits must have been thrilled with the diet variation, the new taste, the tender green shoots.  Here and there they had breakfasted on my spring hopes.  Haven’t seen them since!

You Lose

Am learning again, an important life lesson. If you only think of your side of the issue and don’t walk a mile in the other person’s shoes, then you lose.  The house in which I am living is up for sale and the owner has on a tight set of blinders.  It is doing her much dis-service as she is completely focused on the financial outcome, to her.  No one is helping her realize this and in some instances she is completely blind to how it is working against her.  Watching this play out is a good lesson.

“My Dearest _________, The desire of your heart has been a line from me while at your work.  And though I should cover this sheet of paper with loving words, I could never tell you how I long to see you from one time to the other while we are absent and yet not absent, for I leave my heart in your gentle keeping. I love you so much that I cannot find words in which to express my feelings  I have loved you from the very first day we met and always shall.   [] Do you blame me because I have shown my love to you in ways that I have?  I feel unworthy of you, but oh if you say in return that you love me, then we have the right to be the happiest couple cupid ever united.  Dear it was not my intention of writing you this evening but oh hours seem as days and days as weeks when we are apart.  And Dear in parting last night you said something about calling you this evening but I learned that it was Harry’s night home that I thought this might be more enjoyed, but I know you were disappointed.  forgive me if I caused any unpleasant moments to you. []   And dear I hope you did not call and find me out as I was over to David’s house and did not get home ’till about ten o’clock.  I am telling you dear the time because I hope you are having nice dreams of me by this time. []  I wrote to Tom this evening and gave him all the news and also told him not to hurry about coming home. [] Now Dear though this is only a note I hope it will bring joy to your heart as it gives me in writing.  There are other things I could tell you but time will not permit me this time to do so.  [] Ever Your Own, __________
