Here it is again. Have no idea what this advert is. Like a normal person, I looked it up. How cheeky is this. Adult swim is late night programming…well who knew!

Is This Right?
The Season is over. And now the tree is discarded and at the curb ready for pickup. I don’t doubt that the pick up is done by a company that is going to make mulch. That is a good thing. However, do we need to be cutting and casting off? In the City it is so much more blatant. There are piles along the street, this pile is rather bland, compared to those i saw but it was too dark to photograph. Looking at the trunks, and how fresh they are, it was comparable to looking at a fish out of water. Maybe we need to rethink the tree-as-decoration for a couple of weeks. How long did it take for the tree to get to this size?
Make Space
A new idea for a new millennium. A portable “City Attic”. The company delivers up to four green bins to your door. You fill them with whatever no longer is of use to you or doesn’t fit now that you’ve moved in together. The company then picks the bins up and stores them for you, giving you a virtual list of what is in them and all of that for $25 a month. Should you want them back, delivery is $29. My question: shouldn’t we be ‘passing along’ those extra items in storage
Times Square New Year’s Eve
The link here is the more or less official recitation of what it looks like on Times Square for those that attend the ‘ball dropping’. But this NYE – period I was visiting away from TS and two smart friends discussed what is not mentioned in the article…so what if you have to pee. And we listed what we considered to be doable actions. Use your imagination and complete the list.

Happy New Year
What will the Year 2015 reveal in it’s bag of opportunities, tricks and ‘unforeseens’?
The hope for ‘better’, and ‘love of the present’ is perhaps what keeps us showing up, year after year. May your year be peaceful, full of kindness and if you are so blessed, love.
What can you do to influence the events and outcomes? Personally, don’t think we have much influence, but we can choose with whom we associate and ‘hang-out’. Therein lies the difference. Choose wisely this year. Happy New Year

Stand Clear…
The sonorous voice announcement is attention getting. “Stand away from the moving platform”. This warning takes place in the silence of no train being in sight. When the subway train begins to enter the station, then the voice begins again. Watching to see why the platform needs to move: there is a curve in the track. If the platform did not retract, the side of the cars would scrape along the bend of the platform. By the absence of the platform cars can just slip by. When the train comes to a stop, there is a holding of the doors while the platform juts forward to fill the gap. Once in place the doors open and everyone exits and enters. The doors close and the platform once again retracts.
