An Affair
Just saw ‘Poor Behavior” a new play by Theresa Rebeck. Wish more of you could see it, because it asks a really important question at the end. The plot is 2 couples who know each other for a long time, and they spend a weekend at couple A’s weekend house in the country! If …

Attended ‘Maids” staring Cate Blanchett on Sunday afternoon. Ordered tickets based on price. Never have experienced sitting so ‘away’ from the performance. One had to consider a height phobia; it felt more like ‘flying’ and that we should be issued seat belts at that altitude. A bit of planning – had opera glasses with me. …
Wax Poetic
That was the plan, about March coming in like a lion, going out like a lamb, April showers bring May flowers and then tonight, walking home from the theatre, in the snow! Lucky for me, I was more [boots] or less [no gloves] dressed for it. Come on now!

The Actress
A friend and I were on the subway, after attending a Broadway show. We boarded at 42nd and were engrossed in our conversation. Upon sitting and realizing I was sitting right next to someone, I looked down at their lap and saw a binder lying there with the words: Enemy of the People. I had …
More Theatre Interiors
A splendid example of more artistry on the left. On the right, the construction of the entire seating area is all plywood and the seat cushions are thin and serve the purpose of designating the ticket seating number. This entire seating arrangement sets the scene for a play that is a metaphorical cock fight.
Ars Nova
This is more than a theatre house, or just a company, in their words ‘they are NYC’s hub for new talent in theatre, music and comedy early in their professional careers’. The Artistic Director, Jason, is the great nephew of Frank. Frank is proud of Jason, and rightly so. Tonight I was there for The …
